WHAT IS SHOW UP CHARLOTTE?
Show Up is a social volunteering events company. We set up events that provide an opportunity for you to give back to the community in a new way. Our events include a hands-on, volunteer-style activity that directly helps a local nonprofit and their mission. Events are typically held at local bars/breweries. Your ticket also include live music, an adult beverage, a swag bag, photo station, food available,
and time to mingle and have fun!
We make giving back simple and fun. Once you buy your ticket,
all you need to do is SHOW UP!
Show Up believes more people want to give back within their community, but not everyone knows where to start or has time and energy to research local nonprofits.
We want to create a new way to volunteer that feels really fun and simple,
with no long-term commitments and lots of great memories.

We believe people want more opportunities to volunteer, but… where do I start? Will it be uncomfortable? Will we be asked to make long-term commitments? If I donate, how do I know where my money is really going? At Show Up, we’re making it simple, fun and memorable.

When you sign up with Show Up, you get to volunteer your time, a portion of your ticket is donated to the featured nonprofit, and we have a party - all in one! You decide which event works for you. You sign up and show up - we do the rest!

WHY SHOW UP?
I created Show Up to provide meaningful and fun experiences for others. I want to create events where others can have fun while doing something good for their community.
I believe volunteering should feel simple and stress-free. I have always loved going to exciting events but also had a calling for helping others and bringing out the best in people. Show Up combines those passions!
A few fun facts about me:

I was an elementary school teacher for 10 years in my first career - great memories!

I love outdoor activities like sand volleyball, hiking and being on the lake.

I think traveling is a gift that changes one's perspective. Some of my best memories are experiencing new cultures and seeing new parts of the world.
